TOKIO: FUGA DALLA CITTA'!

Ho un'amico nella zona occidentale di Tokyo che ci ha appena comunicato la situazione. Non e' per niente bella: "Near home, I pass a 24-hour McDonalds. It was closed.
There is a gas station next to it... with a line wrapped around the block... at 02:00 a.m.! Think of the gas shortages and lines of the late 1970's (if you are old enough to remember that time frame... or, if you are too old and you forgot about it). Most gas stations are out of gas. The large refinery that supplies the Tokyo area burned and was destroyed from the earthquake. Super-markets are empty... as in, bare shelves. Most folks made a run on the stores Sunday and Monday. The stores are not getting fully restocked, because of lack of deliveries from trucks not being able to fuel and the major high-way damage and closures. Restaurants are closed, because they cannot get food deliveries and folks can't get to and from work."
Non puoi muoverti perche non c'e' combustibile, le autostrade sono interrotte, i treni non circolano. Non puoi rifornirti perche' non circolando i mezzi non portano cibo e vivi solo delle scorte che ti sei fatto. Acqua e viveri. Non puoi tornare a casa. Io ho vissuto l'esperienza di trovarmi a Stoccolma l'anno scorso quando un semplice vulcano ha paralizzato l'europa. E quando le risorse sono poche diviene impossibile trovare un treno, un taxi, un auto, un pullman. Posso immaginare come si sente, solo che io potevo ancora mangiare e vivere a Stoccolma, lui e la sua famiglia sono messi peggio. Mirko

ma noi cosa ci possiamo fare? costruire centrali nucleari in una zona cosi instabile è stata una loro scelta. di peggio non potevano fare
